The project aimed to develop a Management Information System (MIS) that would be used as a centralized platform for coordinating and tracking skill training programs, record keeping, measuring progress, invoice generation, etc. The system would cater to the different user requirements of students, agencies, center managers, and super admin portal accounts by providing them with a logging interface via a website connected to the MIS.

Development of a Robust Web-based MIS

Successive Digital collaborated with government stakeholders to design and develop a comprehensive MIS tailored to the unique requirements of skill development information management. 
The system comprised several interconnected modules, each serving a specific user roles and functionalities:

  1. Student Interface

    Allows individuals to register for skill training programs based on their educational level and career interests.

  2. Center User & Center Manager Interface

    • Center User
      • Enables center users to verify student details.
      • Empower center users to approve or reject student enrollments based on predefined criteria.
    • Center Manager
      • Enables the center manager to form batches based on specified skill sets.
      • Provides real-time visibility into batch details, student profiles, and skill assessment results.
      • Facilitates the creation of training schedules and updates candidates’ assessment scores and placement records.
  3. Training Agency Interface

    • Allows training agencies to register students who are not well-versed in digital and computer-related processes.
    • Enables approval or rejection of skill development batches.
    • Allows agencies to monitor student details, course information, skill assessment results, and placement data in the system.
    • Enables the processing of digital invoices for employed students based on predefined criteria.
  4. Government Employee Interface

    This interface caters to the needs of government employees who are responsible for monitoring and approving the overall training process. Key features developed for the module include:

    • Training Monitoring: Provides government employees with real-time visibility into the progress of training programs conducted by various agencies.
    • Batch Approval: Allows government employees to review and approve batches for skill training based on predefined criteria and guidelines.
    • Performance Evaluation: Facilitates the assessment of training center performance, including course completion rates.
    • Invoice Verification: Allows government employees to verify invoices generated by the agencies for accuracy and record keeping.
  5. Super Admin Interface

    This interface is designed for administrators responsible for managing the overall backend functionalities of the portal and website. Key features developed for the module include:

    • User Management: This allows administrators to create, modify, and deactivate user accounts, including those of center managers, agency representatives, and government employees.
    • Content Management: Provides tools for administrators to update website content and other relevant information.
    • System Configuration: This feature enables administrators to configure system settings, including security protocols, data retention policies, and user access permissions.
