About this
Project
After experiencing a considerable revenue loss in the holiday season sales due to sluggish website performance and an inability to launch timely campaigns, our client realized their existing eCommerce setup couldn’t support their future growth plans anymore. Hence, they wanted to migrate their existing system architecture to headless mode and sync all their selling touchpoints into a single ecosystem. In other words, they wanted to create an agile, scalable, and personalized online shopping experience that integrates and seamlessly connects all their omnichannel operations into one and delivers a connected customer experience.
About
Client
The client, headquartered in Los Angeles, is a popular American apparel brand known for its commitment to delivering sustainable fashion. With over a decade of presence in the industry, the brand has carved a niche by offering trendy, eco-friendly clothing lines that appeal to diverse shoppers. They operate with a hybrid business model combining a robust online presence, flagship stores in major cities, and collaborations with third-party retailers. As their brand awareness grew, so did the complexity of managing a consistent and personalized customer experience across various touchpoints.
Their success was hindered by limitations in their existing monolithic eCommerce platform, forcing them to seek a scalable solution that aligns with their vision for business expansion and superior customer engagement.
Our
Offering
We migrated the client’s existing backend from Adobe Commerce to Shopify Plus along with seamless migration of their existing data to the Shopify environment via APIs. The migration ensured data accuracy, including inventory levels, product metadata, and pricing, while real-time synchronization kept online and offline inventory consistent.
We utilized the React framework to build a fully customized and captivating storefront, ensuring the UI/UX design is in alignment with the client’s brand identity. We also added dynamic components, including personalized product recommendations, customer reviews, and geo-specific content to optimize the customer experience.
We provided integration with third-party systems, including Strapi CMS for content management, Algolia for improved product search, Google Analytics for SEO optimization, and Paypal along with the native payment processor of Shopify (Shopify Pay) to optimize and escalate various eCommerce functionalities for client’s business.
We connected the built frontend with Shopify’s Storefront API for seamless, real-time data fetching and rendering for product data. We also added Strapi’s APIs to enable localization and multi-currency support for the client’s platform.
